Cinematographer, Filmmaker, and Photographer in Portugal & Europe
My name is Max Golov. I have worked in filmmaking since 2008, moving from early independent productions into music videos, commercials, corporate films and larger professional sets in Moscow. That path gave me a practical education in how images are built under real production conditions.
Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience working on professional sets as a 1st AC, key grip, gaffer, best boy, and focus puller. My hands-on experience with top-notch equipment and lighting setups shaped me into a highly skilled cinematographer.
In 2022, I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, and co-founded a photo and video equipment rental business and studio space. Alongside cinematography, photography—both film and digital—has become another way to study composition, light and the single frame.
I’m open to both commercial and creative collaborations. I’m particularly excited about shooting documentaries, narrative films, music videos, advertisements, and other creative projects.
